August 2016The Annual SACS Vintage Sale took place in Martinez at the end of August and many people in the Buenos Aires community participated. We helped people find treasures and in turn they helped us raise more funds to help buy backpacks and school supplies for 2017. Every donation counts!based on greatest need and commitment to school attendance. The board members and volunteers personally deliver the backpacks to the children before the start of the school year.
April 2016This year we hosted our annual Fall event at the American Club of Buenos Aires. Since 1918, "The AmClub" has been one of the most popular gathering places in the very heart of the city. This venue set the stage for a fine night of laughter, delicious food and principally for raising funds for the children of SACS.
We did it! In just 14 days the SACS team and 36 dedicated volunteers traveled nearly 1,000 kilometers to deliver 1,500 backpacks and 400 school supply kits to smiling children in 31 schools, orphanages, homework and nutrition centers in and around Greater Buenos Aires. SACS couldn't have done it without our amazing volunteers and companies who believe in SACS: TRANSPACK Argentina, who helped us deliver to faraway places, and HERNAN CRESKO and staff, who generously donated all kinder and first through third grade backpacks. We also want to send a special thanks to SWELL, Casa ABE, SABER, and Fundacion San Francisco de Asis for their collaboration.
